Chocolyn is the first and largest international fansite for Chinese female soloist, Zhang Liyin.
Chocolyn was launched on December 18, 2007, by April, and was maintained by her for the first few months. Wendy joined the team during this time and took over managing the website during spring 2008. The Chocolyn fan network has since evolved to include a team of fans who volunteer their time to add subtitles to Zhang Liyin performances and interviews.
The fansite has undergone many changes in the past several years:
- December 18, 2007 — The Chocolyn forum is created by fans on Soompi.
- January 1, 2009 — Chocolyn moves from using Zetaboards to using Invision Power Boards.
- February 7, 2009 — 120: Most registered members online at the forums.
- September 7, 2009 — Chocolyn’s Twitter is created.
- June 21, 2014 — Chocolyn reaches 2,000 followers on Twitter.
- February 28, 2017 — Chocolyn moves from Invision Power Boards to WordPress.
Although Chocolyn has been acknowledged by Zhang Liyin herself on numerous occasions, we remain as an unofficial fansite for the Chinese soloist. We are not affiliated with Zhang Liyin or her management. We are a non-profit fansite, run by fans, for fans.
